Last year’s Carerra Summer Escape events were my favorites of the summer and this year did not disappoint. Combining a great crowd (abet a few unsavory folks made it in, but they always do), good food, hot DJs, screen printed t-shirts, makeovers by Cover Girl, haircuts, and spa services, these events are fun and fabulous every year.
Each event had a completely different feel based on the locale. While my favorite of the four was last year’s Ramscale Studios event, which was like chillin’ at a Malibu beach house for the weekend; this year at 505 West 37th was still a good time. I particularly enjoyed the second day, which was less crowded and more chill. Had a riotous laugh catching up with Nole Marin and his wonderfully glamorous Mom, Dorothy.
Other celebs in attendance included: Boys to Men and Tristan Wilds (90210, The Wire) with the boys from MGMT also passing through. Mia Moretti was in the house DJing with her violin totin’ sidekick, Catilin Moe and DJ’s Lucas Walters, Aaron LaCrate, and Alexander Dexter-Jones also spun for the crowd. Saturday night featured a special performance by Daniel Merriweather to a jam packed house.
