February is one of my favorite months of the year because the days get longer, which lifts my mood significantly. It is also time for one of my favorite holidays — Valentine’s Day— which offers another excuse to shop for gifts. Single this year, I am treating myself to some of these things on my lists!

I wrote this back in 2016. But, Lord knows, I need good fortune in 2025 after having another one of the most tumultuous years of my life. In addition, we are idiotically going into a very scary time with a criminally insane, coup-staging, convicted felon, serial rapist, and complete moron as the President of the United States. So, I am reposting this story with the hopes that we will all — individually, and as a nation — have good fortune in 2025.

Because of all this hubbub and the need to focus on my new gig, I decided not do my extensive holiday gift guide. But here are the things I covet and plan to buy for myself and others this Christmas.
The revival of Cabaret at the August Wilson Theater is an absolute must-see. Both me and my sister were completely blown away. She has seen every version of Cabaret, including the first one, and said that she felt this revival was the best. I highly, highly recommend this show and also suggest that you splurge and buy the premium seats for the full Kit Kat Club experience this holiday season.
Jill Zarin’s annual luxury luncheon is always one of the best events of the year. I haven’t been for a couple years, so was so thrilled to be invited this year. This year was presented by Mend Skincare and Laifen with event production by Sean Koski and Brian Kelly of Tickets2Events with proceeds going to the Bobby Zarin Memorial Trust. Read on for the tea on our marvelous day out.
As we get older, we often reminisce about the great loves of our earlier lives. I was blessed to have many passionate affairs in my 20’s and have kept in touch with all of my exes. But what happened this past week was a shocking wake-up call and a warning that things are often not what they seem. As a precautionary tale for older women and as a primer for older men, here are 7 things no man should do if he expects to win back a long-misplaced love.
I first wrote this post in January 2015 as a way to help everyone quit smoking. And in January 2023, I had a cancer diagnosis that made me regret every cigarette I had ever smoked. Since many people make New Year’s resolutions to quit smoking and a couple of my dear friends are trying to quit, I decided to update and run this post again.. Good luck and I am rooting for you!
I was blessed to be invited to a launch party for the new flavor and the Boxed Water One Tree Planted initiative at SoulCycle Williamsburg. The fun-filled evening featured a SoulCycle class, massages, and aura readings with yummy vegan snacks and of course, Boxed Water Watermelon.
