I wrote this back in 2016. But, Lord knows, I need good fortune in 2025 after having another one of the most tumultuous years of my life. In addition, we are idiotically going into a very scary time with a criminally insane, coup-staging, convicted felon, serial rapist, and complete moron as the President of the United States. So, I am reposting this story with the hopes that we will all — individually, and as a nation — have good fortune in 2025.
Due to all the hype coming out of the Venice Film Festival, “Babygirl” was one of the movies I was most looking forward to seeing this winter. But it’s a hot, unsexy mess. Read on for my full review.

The revival of Cabaret at the August Wilson Theater is an absolute must-see. Both me and my sister were completely blown away. She has seen every version of Cabaret, including the first one, and said that she felt this revival was the best. I highly, highly recommend this show and also suggest that you splurge and buy the premium seats for the full Kit Kat Club experience this holiday season.
