Seeing Dances Patrelle’s Yorkville Nutcracker has become a yearly Christmas tradition for me and mine. Join TGATP and make it one of yours. They are performing this innovative NYC-themed take on “The Nutcracker” this weekend!
Great Performances
The revival of Cabaret at the August Wilson Theater is an absolute must-see. Both me and my sister were completely blown away. She has seen every version of Cabaret, including the first one, and said that she felt this revival was the best. I highly, highly recommend this show and also suggest that you splurge and buy the premium seats for the full Kit Kat Club experience this holiday season.
Ballet Hispanico is one of my favorite dance groups and I look forward to their performances every year! I had a spectacuclar time and an amazing evening.
MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale), celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2016-17, with the premiere of…
The Patrick Terry produced spectacular WONDERSHOW – described as is “Professional mindf*ckery by some of the most skilled performers in the business” – returned to NYC from August 21st – 23rd at The Muse, Bushwick’s newly renovated circus arts warehouse. It was a total blast and Jon Stetson totally blew my mind!
Long time readers of TGATP know that I love dance, in general, and Jennifer Muller/The Works, in particular. But Amanda Selwyn Dance joins my list of favorites after a performance of uplifting beauty that left the audience breathless.
It’s been a delightful holiday season with tons of great performances. I had a blast at The Collegiate Chorale performance of Eric Idle and John Du Prez’s (of Monty Python and Spamalot’s) performance of “Not The Messiah (He’s A Very Naughty Boy). I would love to see this become a holiday tradition.
