Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Smart, action-packed and hilarious, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is the one to see this holiday season! Chockfull of explosions, gunfire, fist fights, and slapstick, Guy Ritchie’s second stab at the Sherlock franchise is far more exciting than the first one.and makes my top ten for the year. It’s an absolute TGATP must-see!

Happy Feet Two

I really, really, really wanted to like “Happy Feet Two” more. Fresh off of laughing my ass off at “Puss in Boots”, I was expecting the same sort of witty repartee and adult innuendo. But while the visuals were excellent (especially the krill swarms), Happy Feet Two was just too damn serious for me. If you saw “Happy Feet” you will want to see what happened to our beloved Mumble and Gloria. But don’t expect a tons of laughs.

Drive Is The First Must-See Film of the Fall!

Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and starring Ryan Gosling and Carrie Mulligan, Drive is the best film noir of the new millenium and one of the best films of the year! I predict Oscar nods for Refn, who won best director for Drive at Cannes, Brooks for Supporting Actor, Drive for Best Movie, and maybe even, Gosling for Actor.

Sucka Punch Bites

Sucka Punch is definitely the worst movie so far this year! Not an OCO film, this is what I dub a “starving people could’ve been fed with this budget” film! In other words, money was severely wasted! With a jumbled mess of a plot that seemed to take us into the Director’s acid fueled, wet dream, this movie is a definite miss!

The Lincoln Lawyer

The Lincoln Lawyer is the first great film of the year and the best courtroom thriller since Presumed Innocent! Based on the bestseller by Michael Connelly and directed by Brad Furman, this film snaps, crackles, and pops! Matthew McConaughey is in sizzling form as Mitch Haller, a LA attorney who runs his practice from the back of his chauffeur driven Lincoln.
