The MOMS always give the best events. A cool crowd of bloggers with great sponsors and fun activities, the Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 screening was no exception. And I even got to ask Nia Vardalos the burning question I have had for more than a decade. It was a great time had by all.

On Tuesday, January 26th, The Moms hosted a wonderful breakfast screening of “Kung Fu Panda 3” at the Regal Cinema Union Square. Sponsored by Lynx Fitness and Chevy Tri-State, guests were treated to a great film followed by a Q&A with the film’s stars Kate Hudson and Lucy Lui.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens rocks! With all the beloved characters, action packed aerial fight scenes, breathtaking light saber battles and mythological story lines that made us fall in Love with the series back in the 70’s, it takes its place as one of the best films in the franchise. See it as soon as possible, then see it again and again!
I laughed my ass of at “Sex Tape”, which is a cautionary tale about filming yourself with a lover and not immediately deleting it.
So lovely and spiritual that I was teary eyed, Disney’s new film “Bears” is a heartwarming and fun must-see for the whole family! See it the first week to honor Earth Day and a proceed of the profits will go to the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s National Park system.
Captain America: The Winter Solider rocked from star to finish. It’s the first great film of the Spring/Summer 2014 season!
Marlon Wayans spent his weekend at our alma mater, Howard University to promote his new film “A Haunted House 2”. I can’t wait to see the sequel to the hilarious first film!
Gosh, can’t believe how many really great films there were this year! I was however, almost ready to boycott the Oscars over the glaring snub of “The Butler,” which I feel is a better movie that “12 Years A Slave”. While I liked the latter, “The Butler” was an African-American epic! Another inexplicable snub was “August Osage County”which featured a powerhouse of acting from just about everyone involved. That Margo Martindale and Chris Cooper were not nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Actor, respectively was also a wrongful omission. Here are my predictions!
