With the watches on full-frontal display, the launch party for the Swatch New Gent was a raving great time! Held at the gorgeous new hot spot the Gansevoort Park Avenue and featuring TGATP favorites, the fabulous DJ Mia Moretti and her phenomenal fiddling companion, Caitlin Moe, TGATP and all of the well heeled crowd had a blast.
I have never had a Swatch, so I was thrilled to be gifted with this elegant new model. (The organizers were smart and made sure that only the legit folks got the sleekly designed new watches. Crashers, including the weird Russian contingency, could be spotted wandering around with disgruntled faces that they were refused the gift bag,)
Met the adorable Iesha Reed of FYI PR, who was the PR point person for the evening and also got the chance to chat with my favorite nail divas Liz Pickett and Ginger Johnson of Ginger and Liz Colour Collection. It was also great to catch up with model and Season 7 American Idol contestant Joanne Borgella, who l hope to collaborate with on a planned TGATP project soon.
Inspired by the classic and legendary, Swatch Gent line, the Swatch New Gent Collection features ten models in understated yet bold colors with a much bigger Swatch face. Each model has a large, vibrant plastic case with a contrasting color-coded dial, a day/date window at 3 o’clock, and rugged, matt silicone straps in complementary monochrome colors. The New Gent is designed for active women and men, who while interested in the latest trends, are also fashionably elegant. Count me as one of those people, as I am MAD for my new model in Black!
