Having attended well over 500 parties in the past year, I can’t remember a more perfectly executed event! I have to say that the best feel good party event of the summer so far, was the Carrera Summer Escape, which took place on the weekends at the Cooper Sq Hotel penthouse. Devoid of the hassle in the scheduling of the spa treatments and the outsized ego-tripping of the event planner that ended up marring Sobe Summer Fridays, this event was fantastic!
The tone set was just right and it felt like an upscale frat party at a beach house! The crowd was fun and mad hot with many attendees scantily clad in swimwear. I also have a new addition to my fav DJ list, DJ Mia Moretti! This little sister was off the chain and pulled out some amazing old school jams that I haven’t heard in ages! And in the middle of the party, Columbia Recording Artist Caitlin Moe just jumped on a couch and jammed on her electric violin! It made me regret that I stopped playing the violin and inspired me to pick it up again! It was truly a party performance to remember!
Got to meet the legendary David Barton, who I remember from the ‘80’s when he and his wife party Goddess Suzanne Bartsch first burst onto the scene. Guests were also gifted with suntan lotion from Lancaster and large bottles of Calvin Klein‘s unisex fragrance, CK One. In a word: PERFECT!
