TGATP was delighted to attend my fourth gala for Jennifer Muller/The Works. When I started the site in 2009, this company’s gala was one of the very first galas that I covered and I have been in Love with them ever since. There simply is no dance ensemble more talented than this wonderful of dancers. And Jennifer, the most unassuming legend I have ever met, is so passionate in her choreography that she takes my breath away every time I see her work. This year’s performance included her new work for the season the riveting “Grass” inspired by Walt Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass” and “Speeds”, a fun dance dissertation on how speed and pace affect our emotions. This season, Jennifer Mueller/The Works partnered with the Elisa Monte Company, which made for a beautiful pairing and an amazing evening Make it a point to see both troupes in your future!
