On January 14, the International Center of Photography held CLiCK: Dress Codes, a soiree to celebrate their third Triennial. Sponsored by Pentax, Lancome, Diane Von Furstenberg, Splashlight Studios, and Moet Henessy, with an eclectic crowd of photographers, fashionistas, socialites, art collectors, and media industry professionals, the party was a complete blast. There was unusually basic catering from one of my favorite caterers, Taste; just grapes and cheeses. However, I loved the photo booth provided by Splashlight Studios, which allowed guests to ham it up.
There were only two changes that would’ve made the evening perfect. First, every guest should’ve been offered some form of gift bag, with the VIP bag going to the bigger donors. In these economic times, it is a party don’t and a bit Marie Antoniette-ish to only give bags to high donors forsaking the other guests that make a donation, financially or in-kind, to one’s organization. Plus, inexplicably some dude named Dan Jones won the gorgeous red Pentax KX camera I should’ve won in the raffle! (Joking about the camera, not about the gbs.)
