In September, leading fashion jewelry company Carolee will introduce a sterling silver pendant necklace to benefit Water.org, an organization founded by Gary White and Matt Damon to help provide safe water and sanitation to the hundreds of million people around the world lacking access. The delicate 18” adjustable necklace is designed with a pendant in the shape of a drop of water and a small charm engraved with the word “Life” at the clasp. It will be sold in department stores and online beginning in September. The retail price is $150, and Carolee will donate $10 to Water.org from the sale of each piece.
“We are honored that Carolee selected Water.org as the beneficiary from the sale of their water drop necklace,” said Chris Reimer of Water.org. “We appreciate the design of the product as well as the company’s dedication to important causes like solving the global water crisis. At Water.org, we firmly believe that water is life, and the addition of the word “life” to the necklace represents how access to safe water is so transformative.”
Joel Fivis, President of Carolee said, “We have long admired Water.org and their vital work to provide water and sanitation—the most basic of human needs—to the hundreds of millions of people around the world who lack them. As a company for women, we especially appreciate the impact their work has on women and children. The Water.org necklace is a wearable tribute to the organization’s programs and it allows the customer to enjoy a beautiful piece of jewelry while contributing to a noble cause.”
The Carolee Water.org necklace will be sold beginning in September on Bloomingdales.com, Lordandtaylor.com, Macys.com and carolee.com.
