Black Rock Coalition celebrates 25th Anniversary @ Central Park Summerstage with Living Colour

On Saturday, the Black Rock Coalition celebrated 25 years with a concert that featured newer members The Pillow Theory, Ebony Bones!, and CX Kidtronik.  Headlining the event were my longtime friends, Living Colour.  I first met them almost 20 years to the day at the Reading Festival in the UK.  While some of the details are foggy due to a stop at a vineyard on the way to the grounds, I do remember that my Band-Aid BFF Katie and I were staying on a houseboat owned by some dude that supplied instruments to some of the musicians, that it was mad hot, that somehow Katie lost my shoes, and that it was a raucous good party day!  I have shared many other good times with the boys over the years and Saturday was no disappointment.  They still rock as hard, if not harder, as they ever did!
