Last Friday, NYC’s hottest Fashion & Beauty insiders gathered together to support the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and be among the first to get a signed copy of SPA WARS: The Ugly Truth About The Beauty Industry from author, Lora Condon. Hosted by style icon, Patricia Field and hot NY social club, The Women’s Mafia, the glamorous book launch event was held at the Patricia Field store (at 302 Bowery). The crowd was a wonderful mixture of young and old with two-year old Nina, partying like a rock star on the dance floor!
Guests were offered discounted services at the cute lil’ salon in the basement, which is a new TGATP hotspot! Every gal should have a blowout and color from Joey and his fabulous crew. There were also tons of kitschy fun items on sale including a glittery lip shaped phone, crystal Elvis earrings, and a Marilyn Monroe clock. I miss the old NYC, before all the hipsters and yuppies turned it into a urban suburb, so any chance to visit Patricia’s store is always respite. Drop by to shop and to hang.
