The best party of this year’s Fashion Week (and in fact, the best party of the year so far!) was the Samsung “Fashion: Take Note Studio” Party held at the Dream Downtown last night! This party was so perfectly executed that I am jealous that I didn’t plan it. No party stone was left unturned with great food, a full open bar, and tons of fun extras.
The party featured one of the cleverest phone launch party ideas ever, special fashion and Valentine’s Day apps created to spotlight the awesome new Samsung Galaxy Note. I spent a full hour playing around with the first one, a paper doll app, that allowed us to take a pic of ourselves, and then mix and match outfits on our avatar. With Cookie Notes, another app designed specially for the party, the guests were able to personalize Valentine’s Day cookies with special messages. The third custom designed app was utilized to create fashion style sketches of the guests by extraordinary artist Jena Kane. I LOVE mine so much (see above) that I want her to rework the TGATP logo! Throughout the event, DJ Lady Starlight and DJ/electronic violinist duo Mia Moretti & Caitlin Moe kept the crowd moving, leading up to a special musical performance from Band of Horses, who will topped off the night with a rocking set for all of the lucky attendees!
Celebrities in the fashionably hip crowd included: Jared Leto (Actor/Frontman of “3 Seconds To Mars”), Stephen Dorf, Joe Jonas, Ashlee Simpson and beau Vincent Piazza (“Boardwalk Empire”), Shenae Grimes (“90210”), Stephanie Pratt (“The Hills”), Gretchen Rossi (“The Real Housewives of Orange County”), Kristin Cavallari (“The Hills”), Cobra Starship, Charlotte Ronson, and more. Notable fashion week figures including bloggers Bryan Boy, Susie Bubble, Leandra Medine, and of course, TGATP!
The Samsung Note
This month, Samsung Mobile and AT&T launch the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note, a new type of smartphone. It is the ultimate on-the-go device, which consolidates core benefits of a tablet while maintaining smartphone portability and utilizes AT&T’s 4G LTE network. It allows users to capture, share and create, like never before. I absolutely have to have one of these!
