It’s NY Auto Show week, so TGATP has been invited to preview all the latest models from the best car makers in the world! Last night, in advance of the official show (which runs at the Javits Center from April 2nd to the 11th) I attended a party celebrating Volkswagen’s foray into eco-friendly hybrids with the unveiling of the VW Touareg. The Touareg packs all the roominess of an SUV with the eco-consiousness of a hybrid! It is a luxury sport utility vehicle that offers a high level of comfort, sporty driving properties, avant-garde styling, excellent quality and unlimited expedition capabilities – essentially the best of the passenger car and off-road worlds unified into one concept.
A marvelous time was had by all at the artfully Frank Gehry designed IAC Building (555 West 18th St & 11th) with a beautiful cheese spread from Saxelby’s Cheesemongers and the usual delectable catering from Creative Edge.
