The Passing of My Beautiful Loving Mother

The much beloved and dearly cherished Naomi Henley-Anderson Sales transitioned to the light on April 4, 2011.

Naomi was born in Roanoke, Va. on July 20, 1930, the daughter of the late Samuel Dewey Henley and Marion Wilson Henley.  She is survived by her three children, Courtney Henley-Anderson and Angelique Anderson, both of New York City, N.Y. and Elliott Anderson and his wife, Coleen, of Sanford, Fla., her first husband, John L. Anderson, of Silver Spring, Md., her grandchildren and great grandchild, Tyrone, Tamika and Passion Laray Tauzell, of St. Paul, Minn., her dear friends Teddy Arthur of Washington, DC and Ophelia Brown of Hyattsville, MD,  her stepchildren, Arbutus Traynham and Stephanie Wayne, both of Amherst, her step-grandchildren Monica and Talitha Traynham, her sister-in-laws Rose Levy and Corrinne Sales, her grand kitties, Dinah Washington and Phoebe, grand dog Max and a host of loving family and friends.

I am a proud blogger/influencer of 16 years and founder of the Henley Content Lab for content creators from underserved communities, who are 45 and over. I am also the founder of Chateau Canna and Cannappetit. I am also an aunt to 12 and human to Bodhi and Yoko Rey.
