This Wednesday, August 26, Loews Regency New York Hotel invites four-legged friends and their owners to celebrate National Dog Day with its second annual Yappy Hour. Between 5:00pm and 8:00pm, guests are invited to stop by Sant Ambroeus Café at Loews Regency to indulge in canine-themed treats while benefitting a worthy cause. Loews Regency has partnered with three separate organizations to promise an entertaining evening with a charitable outcome.

During the first two hours of Loews Regency’s Yappy Hour, Certified Animal Massage Practitioner Jessica Miracola of Blissed Out Barklyn will be on-hand to provide 10-minute massage sessions for a nominal donation of $5.00. In exchange, pets will experience a massage that targets stress relief, pain relief, recovery from injuries and surgeries, or just simple relaxation at the hands of a highly skilled therapist. All proceeds from the sessions will go directly to Bideawee, the leading pet welfare organization serving metropolitan New York and Long Island.

Loews Regency has also partnered with Sylvia, the upcoming Broadway production that boasts a lauded cast and crew and tells the story of a New York couple and their relationship with an exceptionally engaging canine. Attendees of Yappy Hour will have an opportunity to hear more about the show and will receive discount offers on show tickets.

No Yappy Hour is complete without cocktails. In honor of National Dog Day, Sant Ambroeus Café will be serving a complimentary specialty cocktail called “Sylvia” in addition to “puppyccinos” for the canine companions.

The evening will culminate in a silent auction, with prizes including two tickets to Sylvia, an overnight stay at Loews Regency Hotel New York, dinner for two at The Regency Bar & Grill and a photo shoot with acclaimed photographer Andrew Werner, who will be in attendance photographing the event. All proceeds raised as a result of the silent auction will also be donated to Bideawee.
