Bebe opened its newest location at 488 Broadway (b/tw Spring and Broome) with a fete sponsored by ELLE on Monday. Not sure if it was the official opening, as it was a rather oddly unglamorous affair, for such fun and sexy clothes! I was expecting an affair either like the recent Guess party or the American Eagle extravaganza, which was a store opening done to the max! But alas, there was very little food, a ton of crashers were allowed in (hilariously one could be seen hoarding the complementary copies of ELLE that were disbursed throughout the store! Honestly, what could he possibly have wanted with those?), there were no gift bags, and Kim Kardashian was MIA, despite being advertised to appear! So I only stayed for a very short spell. The one bright spot in the evening is that the new Bebe line for Spring includes some really cute pieces, so I did get to shop a bit.
