Although a lot of ’80’s fashion was completely hideous, I am loving the comeback of the uber skinny jean with graphic tee look, which is perfect for TGATP gals of every age. It is, especially ideal for teens, allowing them a cool way to express themselves and still be stylish. But when choosing a tee, make sure to be tasteful in both sizing and message to avoid looking like a tacky slobby mess! Remember that a fitted women’s tee is always the best look and keep the message subtle and artistic.
My favorites:
I just found the coolest website that is all about tees! Threadless.com is just the hippest; a one-stop shop for graphic tee aficionados! Each week, a user submitted design is voted on by the Threadless community. There is even a 12-month tee club for consumers to receive a different tee every month. In addition, there are meetups and parties for users/consumers. You can also buy hoodies or wall art with the zillions of featured designs.
A rock chick, I have always been fond of rock tees. At the recent Now and Zen preview, I discovered some really hot Bob Marley tees from Zion Rootswear, that I just love! I’ll be rocking the dress below at this year’s, West Indian Day Parade! There are a ton of cute versions for women and men and even some adorable onesies for baby. They can be purchased at Spencer’s or Hot Topic and online at: http://www.retrofactory.com/bobm-lady.html. (The women’s sizes run small so I unfortunately, can’t sport the tee that they gave me at the preview. So make sure to order one size larger than you are.)
