After a 35-year-long Boston tradition, New York’s Bryant Park is going to host the first stop on the Scooper Bowl World Tour. It kicks off today, Thursday, June 1st with Ben & Jerry‘s co-founder Jerry Greenfield.
Proceeds from this 3-day all you can eat “fun-raising” charity event will benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports cancer care and research at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and pediatric care at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, a provider of rehabilitative medicine for catastrophic injury and illness, clinical care, medical education, and advanced research.
Participants will include known ice cream brands like Ben & Jerry’s, Big Gay Ice Cream, Adirondack Creamery and many more in addition to plenty of alternatives, such as, non-dairy offerings from DF Mavens and SAMBAZON– organic, vegan, Kosher, gluten free and lactosefree superfruit frozen sorbets. Toppings will be provided by UNREAL natural candy company.
Tickets are: $20 here and $25 onsite and the event is taking place at the Bryant Park Fountain Terrace at 41st St. and 6th Avenue.
