As I get older, I am also getting much more into crafts, especially for the holidays. This past summer, I went to a wonderful preview and met the amazing Lia Griffith. More beautiful than anything else of the market – sorry Martha – her craft kits are incredibly versatile and super-easy to make and sure to become holiday staples in millions of homes. Each holiday, I will be featuring different kits from this innovative and lovely line. First up, Halloween.
For the spookiest day of the year, Lia has created a number of beautiful craft items. Here are my favorite three:
Haunted Village|$8.49 – The Haunted Village set includes patterns for three frighteningly good haunted houses, as well as, the pattern for a spooky 3D paper tree and a picket fence complete with a witch’s cat. The great thing about this project is that you can print and cut as many little houses, trees or fences as you want. As a collection they make the perfect Halloween mantle display. Lia’s greatest loves are her daughter Emily, her dog Enzo and traveling in Europe. She adores a cozy, comfy (and drop dead gorgeous) living space and is thoroughly enjoying being able to embrace her age, with all the experience and wisdom it brings. When she’s not sharing her DIY knowledge, Lia indulges in making gourmet spreads for friends and family, and especially loves to cook and bake yummy gluten-free goodies.
