TGATP was thrilled to be invited when Dancing with the Stars Karina Smirnoff hosted JCPenney’s New Year, New You Fitness Event in JCPenney’s SoHo showroom in NYC.  Karina looked radiant and fit in JCPenney’s Xersion and CityStreets Activewear lines as she led dance classes and juiced healthy treats with JCPenney’s Bella High Power Juice Extractor and Magic Bullet Blender.

“I’m excited to partner with JCPenney to showcase ways to feel great from the inside out.”, Karina continues, “These clothes are comfortable, super cute and sexy, and fit the body in all the right places,” continues Karina. “It¹s great that JCPenney has such a wide selection from activewear to healthy home items to keep the entire family feeling fit and healthy in the new year.”

Fellow DWTS Dancer Henry Byalikov also brought his expertise to the floor teaching salsa and high octane routines to the excited participants.

Celebrity nutritionist and chef Melissa Petitto was also onsite creating delicious and healthy juices and smoothies with JCPenney¹s national brand juicers to quench people’s thirst. Juicing has grown in popularity and I wanted to share some of my tips and favorite recipes today, mentions Melissa. JCPenney has trusted brands from Jack LaLanne¹s Power Juicer to the Magic Bullet Blender. These juicers and blenders fit the family¹s healthy lifestyle and budget.

Karina even got in on the fun and collaborated with Melissa to create one of the signature drinks, Karina’s Double D, a refreshing mixture of carrots, ginger, fennel, apple, carrots, and mint. Ms. Smirnoff notes, “Listen to your body. When you put good nutrients in you’ll feel amazing overall.”

When asked about Season 18 of DWTS Karina was tightlipped about details and mentioned that the announcements would still be a few weeks away. She informed us “I haven¹t heard anything yet so I am just as anxious and excited as everyone else!” When asked who would be her ultimate dancing partner, dead or alive, she said, “Michael Jackson. His talent and dancing was amazing and it would have been an honor and a treat to dance with him.”
