Cosmoprof Hosts A Perfect Beauty Event

Sometimes there are simply perfect events that get everything right. Last night, it was my great pleasure to attend one such event – the Cosmoprof preview planned by Behrman Communications. With booths featuring some of the best indie and organic products on the market, hair and eyelash styling with no wait times, a featured blogger at each booth, product giveaways and yummy hor d’ouerves and cocktails, guests had a delightful beauty filled evening.

The featured brands included:

Intelligent Nutrients – Any longtime TGATP reader knows that Intelligent Nutrients is one of my favorite brands. I adored the founder the late Horst Rechelbacher for his commitment to the wellbeing of every being on the planet. He was simply incomparable and his loss a great one. Fortunately, his lovely wife Kiran and daughter Nicole are keeping his legacy alive and the IN brand authentic. Their shampoo and conditioner are my favorites, especially for black girl hair. The line leaves your hair squeaky clean and conditioned without the awful residues that many other products leave. I am also mad for the perfume room and aura sprays and their hand cream is simply divine.

Battington – Named after the most glamourous Hollywood and famous legends, these are the best eyelash enhancers (I hate the term false eyelashes) on the beauty market. There are lashes named after Kennedy, Monroe, Hepburn, Bardot and . I suggested a Josephine for the divine Ms. Baker and they said those are on the way. Elizabeth for Taylor would also be great since her eyes were the most beautiful in Hollywood history! I am now MAD for this brand and can’t say enough.

Balanced Guru – After first discovering the line five years ago, I have watched Balanced Guru grow from strictly oils to a lovely line of aromatherapy scents, hair care oils and skincare products. I am especially enamored with the Grounded and Enlightened scents, which I layer together. And the Organic Brillant Hair Oil is a must for my black gal curls.

Hi Mirror – Programmed to deliver a complete analysis of your skin and keep a history of your results, this is the must-have mirror for any woman serious about pro-aging beauty. The Hi Mirror utilizes smart technology to allow you to see if the claims that your skincare products are making are actually producing results. This also a perfect birthday or holiday gift for every woman you know. I will definitely be Norma Desmond-ing in this!

LVX – My hero Horst, who I mentioned previously, educated me on the dangers of nail polish and their high level of toxicity. Thus, any time I can have lovely colors in an organic formula I am stoked. LVX has some of the best colors available on the organic market. Above are my three favs:

Manna Kadar – I was introduced to this brand last night and am a great fan now. I can’t wait to try their glossy, yet healthy lip glosses, that stay for hours.

Londontown  – I want every single color in this gorgeous nail line. There is a purple from the upcoming fall line that I can’t live without and the lovely pink is going to be my summer obsession. The Kur 5-step nail program is designed to nourish and protect nails while delivering stunning color. Above are six of my favorites but there are tons more!

Nairian – Armenia’s first all-natural cosmetics company, Narian is a newbie to the organic market. The line includes a full range of skin care and hair care products including moisturizers, toners, cleansers, serums and hair treatments.  I am looking forward to trying out their firming cream.

Emani – Founded in the 90’s, Emani was a vegan line before people were really talking about vegan or organic makeup. Michelle Doah, the owner is a testament to her products with flawless skin. Her Perfect 10 Serum Primer is my new go-to. I want to try every single product in this line!

Mullein & Sparrow – I met Anit, the founder of Mullein & Sparrow, at another preview a couple years ago and truly love her. She’s a holistic esthetician and herbalist and a Brooklyn gal to boot! The products are vegan and cruelty free and the purest and finest botanicals available. Last night, she gifted us with her body oil in Lemon Mint, which is just divine for summer.

The featured bloggers for the evening were: Lavenda Memory of @lavendascloset, Bessy Rego of @bessydressy, Kourtney George of @creolekourt, Jessica Scull of @loveforlacquer and Desislava Petrova of @hypnaughtypower. We plan to start following them and hope you do too!
