I was blessed to attend a screening and Q&A for the Oliver Stone film “Snowden”. The film is a riveting account of the creation of a young patriot that every American should consider a hero. Edward Snowden exposed the constitutional illegality of the US government spying on all of its citizens and the citizens of the world. He is a patriot and should be allowed to come home to America.

I am calling for a boycott of the upcoming film “Nina”, which is supposedly a biopic of one of the most iconic and important figures in African-American history. To see Zoe Saldana portraying Simone, in blackface resembling a minstrel and a caricature, is a racist affront to Simone’s legacy. Shame on Saldana and everyone else involved.
