On Tuesday night, I attended the launch party for Bravo’s Launch My Line at Avenue. The party was even kicking on the outside as guests were greeted by a beautifully elaborate light show on the red carpet. And fortunately, the clippers were as warm as the lighting. The evening was perfectly done with a small intimate crowd and screens throughout the club airing the show. I spent the evening just transfixed on those screens! Hosted by designing twins Dean and Dan Caten of DSquared2, the new competitive fashion reality show pairs ten industry professionals, who are highly regarded in their field but have always dreamed of having a fashion line, with ten established designers. There is the usual reality drama with some teams working together more seamlessly (pun intended) than others. I love that each episode culminates in a runway show in front of a live audience. Bravo has a hit in “Launch My Line”! It’s only week one and I’m already hooked!
