Last night, the only place to be was the new TGATP favorite hotspot, Beauty and Essex for the fall 2011 of Ann Taylor. The elegant fete included a performance by the effervescent Bebel Gilberto, who wowed the crowd with her bubbly personality and cool modern bossa nova stylings. Actress (and sweetheart of a gal!) Bridget Moynahan mingled with the eclectic crowd of New York taste makers and DJ Mia Moretti turned in her usual booty shakin’ DJ set. There was also a “party in the ladies room” with a full champagne bar set up in the women’s lounge!
In muted tones of Black, Camel, White, and Sand with splashes of Orange and Red, the Ann Taylor Fall 2011 line is a wonderful melody of classic lines with modern twists. TGATP favorite pieces include: an orange A-line side zip skirt, platform buckle strap shoes, a luxe cheetah coat, and some Katherine Hepburn-esque wide leg pants in Camel. While I am a warm weather gal, I almost can’t wait for Fall!
