This was a banner year for movies. In several categories, I would be okay with a tie. For example, Black Panther, VICE AND Green Book for Best Picture. In the Best Actor category, I would love to see Bradley Cooper, Rami Malek
“First Man” was robbed in every category. It should have been up for Best Picture, Best Actor for Gosling, Best Director for Damien Chazelle and Best Supporting Actress for Claire Foy! Films don’t have award nomination worthy production design and sound editing without a great director at the helm!
“If Beale Street Could Talk” was also robbed in multiple categories including Best Picture and Best Director for Barry Jenkins. The greatest black love story ever brought to the screen, it was far superior to “Moonlight” and also far superior to “Black KKKlansmen.”
