12 Vegan Brands To Look For At This Year’s Fancy Food Show 2018

An avowed foodie, The Summer Fancy Food Show is one of my favorite shows of the year. There are thousands of brands of every type of food. However, as I am increasingly eating more plant-based, gluten-free and vegan options, this year I am most interested in checking out the brands that will help me make that switch.

Here are twelve vegan brands to check out at this year’s show:

Eden Black Sesame Butter
Booth: 1958

Eden Foods has a host of vegan options at the show this year including their Black Sesame Butter.

A rich, deliciously smooth black sesame butter with a superior amino acid profile and healthy oils. It is rich in calcium and magnesium, and a good source of fiber, protein, iron, B vitamins, and zinc. Whole, unhulled organic black sesame seed is dry roasted and finely ground to a remarkable seed butter. Highly prized in Eastern cultures. Makes a great dip and spread. Great taste, gluten free, non-GMO, and kosher pareve. Glass jar.

Hudson Valley Sunflower Flour
Booth: 6113

While known for their cold-pressed oils, Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils has produced a gluten-free must have, a tasty flour substitute.

High protein, gluten-free flour with a nutty flavor. Works well as a 1:1 ratio substitute for Almond Flour recipes.

Yoosh’s Green Chilli and Oregano Crackers
Booth 6010

One of my greatest diet challenges is an addiction to starchy food, like crackers and cookies, which are full of gluten and animal fats. Thus, any vegan, gluten-free option is a lifesaver.

Yoosh’s crackers  are artisanal, hand-rolled and baked in small batches. They are made with all natural ingredients that you find in your pantry. They are also preservative free, but since they are made with purest of ingredients, they have a shelf life of 90 days from the date of manufacture. The crackers are all vegan and we have some gluten free variants that are made from Ragi flour. Ragi is a millet that is indigenous to India, and it is naturally gluten free. The cookies and crackers have unique flavors like – Basil & Chocolate Chip, and Hazelnut Sesame in cookies and Rosemary & Red Chilli, and Green Chilli & Oregano in crackers. They come packed in transparent jars, that show the product one is buying, with innovative labeling.

No Evil The Pardon Holiday Centerpiece
Booth 4616

A lovely roast for all that want to pardon the animals at the holidays! Made of filtered water, vital wheat gluten, yellow onion, organic white beans, chickpea flour, organic extra virgin olive oil, nutritional yeast, organic white miso, celtic sea salt, organic herbs and spices. I will be checking this out this year along with all of No Evil’s other yummy products.

Avonaise Mayos
Booth: 3734

Though I still need to eat eggs, I made the switch to vegan mayonnaise because there is really no difference in favor.

Savory vegan mayo substitute made with real avocado. Flavored with rosemary, oregano and garlic, it is gluten free, GMO free with 50 calories. All other mayos are 90 to 100 calories per tbs. Because of the avocados it is much lighter and creamer than a mayonnaise so its great as a salad dressing or a dip as well. There are 3 flavors…original, spicy sweet pepper and savory herb.

Healing Home Foods Ginger Snap Biscotti Bites
Booth 5871

While Ginger flavored Baked Biscotti Bites are prepared simply with only eleven ingredients, the flavors are everything but simple. Savor them on their own, or put them to use as the perfect dipping accompaniment to your favorite beverage. Almond flour serves as the base for this yummy treat, with dried ginger and crystallized ginger offering a sophisticated and delightful bold spicy tone.

Hellenic Farms Fig Salami w/ Orange Zest & Pepper
Booth 776

I haven’t eaten meat or pork in 3 years but I miss salami and prosciutto so much. So this alternative will hopefully be a lifesaver.

Hellenic Farm’s SOFI award winning vegan Fig Salamis are made with 100% Greek Figs! They are GMO & gluten free. No added sugar. Available in 3 varieties.

Heat Bitchin’ Sauce
Booth 3633

The HEAT Bitchin’ Sauce flavor makes you feel warm inside…in a good way! The fruity Habaneros and Ghost Chilis give this flavor a nice, slow back-burn. Gluten Free, vegan, Project Non-GMO Verified, and totally bitchin’.

Sauces ‘n Love Vegan Pesto
Booth 6244

Stemming from the success of their  regular Pesto, and conscious that there weren’t flavorful vegan alternatives, Sauces ‘n Love modified their formulation and were able to obtain such a balance in flavor, that you hardly miss the cheese! Enjoy this product over pasta, in soups, sandwiches, or over meat and fish. Packaged in elegant BPA-free containers that are freezable and reusable, the product is certified Gluten-Free and has a 6 month refrigerated shelf life.

Los Chileros CO YO – Mixed Berry
Booth 5672

While I don’t miss milk, I do miss yoghurt and cheese. So I am very excited to try this yoghurt alternative.

CO YO is a natural Coconut Milk yogurt alternative ,which is Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Soy Free, 100% Vegan with no added sugar. Also in mango, mixed berry and raw chocolate. It’s 98% coconut cream with plant based probiotic cultures and takes one whole coconut to make a small tub of CO YO. Full of Vitamins C,E,B1,B3 B5 and B6. It’s “Heaven in a Mouthful”.

Siete Family Food Almond Flour Tortillas
Booth 4813

I love tortillas so this is a must-try brand for me this year.

Siete Family Foods has created a gluten-free, grain-free, and vegan tortilla that is just as tasty and sturdy as a traditional flour tortilla. Made with almond and tapioca flour, the Almond Tortillas are 100 percent preservative-free, dairy-free, and extremely versatile for snacking or cooking.
