Verbatim launches Think Pink! Breast Cancer Initiative

Verbatim Americas LLC, the information storage pioneer, is “backing up” National Breast Cancer Awareness in October – and all year round – with a collection of five pretty-in-pink products to help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and community outreach projects.  Proceeds from the sale of each of the adorable items in the “Think Pink!” collection of data storage and computer products will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization.

According to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, one in eight women in the US will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.  About 207,090 women will be diagnosed this year and approximately 39.480 will die from the disease.  “Verbatim is honored to contribute to this important cause.” said Verbatim Americas, LLC President Randy Queen, “We are hopeful that our partnership with this renowned breast cancer organization will bring us that much closer to finding the cure for this terrible disease that touches the lives of so many people each year.” This marks the first time Verbatim has participated in such a broad-scale charitable fund-raising and promotional drive.  The motto “Save your memories while helping a great cause!” is the rallying call for customers.

The Think Pink! campaign features an assortment of Verbatim’s most popular data storage and computer peripherals making their debut in attention-grabbing hot pink.  I am mad for the palm sized Acclaim Hard Drive, which packs 500 gb in a palm sized little pink package.  The other products include:  an optical travel mouse mini, 30 and 60 pack CD-Rs, and 60 pack DVD-Rs.

It is wonderful to see a company take such a pro-active and full-on approach to charitable fundraising and a it is philantrophic model that I hope more companies will follow.  Please support this cause and buy these products.
