I have been a bit disappointed by this awards season as there were so many misses in the Oscar nominations, especially in the acting category. Like how in the world could Jared Leto not be up for an Oscar for House of Gucci and Cate Blanchett for Nightmare Alley. Both were the best supporting actors of 2021. And no Guillermo Del Toro for Best Director for the Best Picture of the Year, Nightmare Alley?? Make it make sense, Academy voters!
So I am looking forward to the SAG Awards celebrating the best of 2021 in both film and television airing tonight Sunday, February 27, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern on TNT and TBS. Being The Ricardos, Don’t Look Up, King Richard, Mare of Easttown, Succession, and Ted Lasso are all likely to garner major awards. Below are my predictions of both what will win and what I think should win. Watch tonight to see if I am right and see all of the movies before the Oscars to see if you agree with my picks!
