TGATP is usually snuggled at home in her jammies watching the ball drop ABC’s “Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” for New Year’s. But this year, I got all gussied up and had a wonderful time at a fete held by Constance Fischer of GoldenFischer, Inc. Ms. Fischer hosted a grand invitation only New Year’s Eve party called “Nexus loves… the 90’s”, to introduce the new Nexus Townhouse. Sponsored by Freestream Aircraft & Heliflite, SeaStreak, and Modani, the affair was a melting pot of the NYC jet set mixed with local celebrities from Fashion, Entertainment, Sports, Finance, Art and Private Aviation industries.
The townhouse event spanned four uniquely themed and specially designed floors from art deco Miami to the Berlin wall to a German castle baroque themed VIP floor, which featured a glass rooftop penthouse with terrace. Additionally, the event introduced new European designers, a photo studio, and a furniture exhibit by Modani.
Guests who joined Nexus CEO Constance Fisher included: supermodel/actors Pat Cleveland and husband Paul von Ravenstein, Debbie Dickinson, Project Runway Winner Kalyn Hemphill, Jr. Tennis Champion Carolyn Koladzyn, North Pole Marathoner and best Sports Psychiatrist, Dr. Dan Hamner, Patricia Eva Oppenheimer, Karen Konigsberg, top Designer Anne Bowen, Robert DiMauro, Jeffrey Gurian, Lauren Francesca, Aristeo Tencgo, Shelly Bromfeld, Dewey Wong, and rising star Click Models, Tasha Moore and Mia Calabrese.
Guests were treated to a mid party fashion show featuring designs from Shadowconnected, Elise Gug, Proust, Ivan, Starfinger, Whyshy, Amalia Mattaor, Pauric Sweeney, ToBeG, Sylvie Schimmel with Jinny Kim Hollywood Shoes, Pamela Kay handbags, makeup by Joseph Boggess and hair by Domenico Rossi and his styling team. Libations were provided by sponsors Medea Vodka and Argiano Wine. The fashion show was followed, by a sumptuous fashion auction prize wheel and a live auction of a Freestream-HeliFlite Helicopter tour with proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross in Greater New York.
To ring in 2011, the evening culminated with a live-feed of the Times Square’s ball dropping to the sounds of DJ Go while guests dined on catered selections from Café Filai, the Nathans Hot Dog Cart, or delicious oysters and drank free flowing champagne at the rooftop VIP Penthouse Oyster Bar. The live auction featured plenty of entertainment and luxury prizes including a SeaStreak boat trip to Martha’s Vineyard, sports rehab sessions with the renowned Dr, Dan Hamner, a Beauty Day at Warren Tricomi at the Plaza, a photography session with renowned photographer Mitchell Grey, and to top it off, a Freestream Aircraft – HeliFlight Helicopter Tour with 6 passengers.
