Like my mother, I am shoe addicted and have over 200 pairs whittled down from 600! Over the past six weeks, I was blessed to attend shoe previews for Ugg, Wolverine, Cat Footwear, Melissa, Made, Clarks, Harley Davidson and DSW. Here are my favorites from each of those lines:
With this record cold in the Northeast, I have been living in my two adorable UGG boots! I literally get stopped on the street with praise and questions about them. Comfy, warm and adorable, they are a must-have winter boot. They run a bit small, so go up one size for the best fit.
Wolverine and Cat
I love the team from Wolverine corporate and we had the pleasure of attending, not one but two, Wolverine parties. At the Wolverine preview, we were treated to tacos, corn and other delicacies from the top Mexican restaurant in NYC while we checked out the line. Although there was a major snafu with their outside PR, I am mad for Cat Footwear and their in-house team righted the ship. Their party was more low-key food wise. But we were gifted with an adorable pair of boots . And Cat provided one of the most awesome amenities ever for a party – customized tattooing on our boots! I ADORE mine.
Here is a few of my favorites from both brands:
The Clarks event was awesome for the location and the layout. Yummy hor’dourves and cocktails were served while we checked out the line. Met cute up and comer Jeremy Carver, who plays the young Lucious Lyon on Empire, who was hanging with one of my favorite stylists, Danny Williams. I live in Clarks and got 4 pairs during the Black Friday sales! Here they are:
Who doesn’t live for DSW? Their event was more low-key with a preview featuring a shoe-bar and footprints on paper or a drawing from artist. While it was a Spring preview, which I will cover later, I am living for these Sperry boots that we were gifted with for winter. They are extra warm and waterproof making them the perfect boot for snow days.
I attended the opening of the new Melissa store in Soho and discovered this Spanish brand. The shoes are so adorable, you just can’t get enough of them. I call them “couture jellies”. With collabs from Vivienne Westwood, Jason Wu, Victorio Campos, and Alexandre Herchcovitch and more, there are dozens of cute styles.
Badgley Mischka had a booth at the Babblebox Holiday Party and they were gifted to some folks and raffling to others. And lucky me, I manifested a raffle win! I won the cutest ruby sneaker with jewels that I can wear for holiday and still be comfy! Below are my beloved pair!
I missed the Harley preview. But I have been a fan for ions. The rocker chick still lives on in me so I can always find a pair of Harley boots that I adore. This year, these are my very favorite! I was gifted with the Delwood Boot and I love them so much, I know they will be worn season after season!
