Hornblower Cruises & Events, in partnership with NYC & Company, and the NYC Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), hosted the ground-breaking ceremony and christening of South Street Seaport’s Pier 15, which included the official groundbreaking of the new on-site NYC & Company Visitor’s Center and the introduction of Hornblower’s two new cruises from Pier 15: Rock the Yacht! and Alive After Five.
Kicking off the festivities, Margot Bingham (actress, Boardwalk Empire) performed the National Anthem, while New York City notables including Jessica Lappin (President, Alliance for Downtown New York), Margaret Chin (NY City Council Member), Catherine McVay Hughes (Chair, Community Board 1), Deborah Rose (NYC Council Member), Murray Fisher (President, New York Harbor Foundation/Founder, The Harbor School), and Tom Le Gro (VP, Hu Business International Group) were on hand to celebrate the auspicious partnership with Terry MacRae (CEO, Horblower Cruises & Events), Zac Smith (Chief Operating Officer, NYCEDC) and Tom D’Amato (VP, Hornblower NY).
They were joined for the cocktail party and sunset yacht cruise around Manhattan by Nick Lachey (VH1 Morning Buzz), Drew Lachey, Eric Decker (NY Jets), Damontre Moore (NY Giants), and John Conner (NY Giants), who enjoyed the spectacular views of the City and Lady Liberty while posing for photographs and mingling with crowds.
