On December 28th and 29th, New York City Star Wars fans gathered to honor Princess Leia in a tribute for Carrie Fisher (a.k.a. Princess Leia) at Champion Pizza located at 17 Cleveland Place in Soho, Manhattan. All fans dressed in Stars Wars attire were given a free slice of Champion’s yummy pizza. The owner of the pizzeria, Hakki Akdeniz, is a lifelong Star Wars fan and his staff dressed in costumes from the popular movie series. Over 10,000 slices were given out
over the 48 hour period to devoted fans.
