Each year the Shawangunk Wine Trail host the “Fineries at the Wineries” a event where visitors get to taste wine and add a trinket to a holiday wreath. This year, the Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast, located within the region has put together a “Have a Holly, Jolly Wine Tour” package. They’ll start you off on the right foot with a unique ornament and help arrange transportation. Then you and your guest can visit all the wineries and decorate your wreath while leaving the driving to someone else.
“This is an extremely popular event in the lower Hudson Valley and guests always tell us they would’ve visited more wineries if they didn’t have to drive to each of them,” said Dena Finneran, who co-owns the award-winning country inn with her husband John. “So, by popular demand, we are once again offering a package where we’ll provide a starter ornament and coordinate transportation for guests, who wish to drink responsibly as they decorate their wreaths.”
The Shawangunk Wine Trail will issue couples, who attend “Fineries on the Wineries”, a handmade grapevine wreath and wine tasting glasses. The guests can then visit up to 14 wineries and collect their trinkets.
The Fineries at the Wineries event takes place from 10 am to 6 pm on the following Saturdays and Sundays: November 21-22, December 5-6, and December 12-13. Book soon, tickets go quickly!
The participating wineries include: Adair Vineyards, Applewood Winery, Baldwin Vineyards, Benmarl Winery, Brimstone Hill Winery, Brotherhood Winery, Clearview Vineyards, Demarest Hill Winery, Glorie Farm Winery, Palaia Vineyards, Robibero Winery, Stoutridge Vineyard, Warwick Valley Winery, and Whitecliff Vineyard.
