(TGATP Note: While I am still 98% vegan, I recently had to add some chicken and fish for health reasons.)
I have been vegan for over 10 years now and I have to say that there have been massive innovations and improvements in vegan foods. DO try to find the less processed options though. I ran into some health-issues of not getting enough vitamins, iron, and proteins from consuming too many processed vegan foods.
Here are some of my fave vegan foods for Summer 2025:
-
Chunk Steak
Chunk Steak is the closest you can get to the texture and taste of beef. I used to like Eat Meati but find that the texture can be not quite right. My favorite Chunk Steak is the Steakhouse Cut with the regular steak a close second.
-
Back To Nature Rosemary and Olive Oil Stoneground Crackers
Like a buttery Ritz cracker just plant-based and with rosemary added. I pair these yummy crackers with the chesses mentioned in this post. -
Baby Bel Plant-Based Cheese
One of the things I missed the most when I stopped eating cow’s milk was good cheeses. I used to love Baby Bel’s regular cheeses, so these delicious vegan versions are a near perfect replacement. They taste just like the original. DO be aware that they have “modified food starch” which is not great, so I eat them in moderation.
-
Stockeld Dreamery Cultured Cheddar
MELT Cultured Cheddar slices are THE BEST for vegan grilled cheese and cheeseburgers. They are creamy, delicious and melt faster than any other plant-based cheese on the market. Made from cultured legumes and packed with protein, I keep these in my fridge at all times now. -
Goldenberg Original Dark Peanut Chews
I loved these as a child and just recently found out they are vegan. DO be aware that there is a milk chocolate version, so make sure you are buying the “Original Dark” ones. -
Alexia All Natural Crispy Rosemary Fries with Sea Salt
These crispy russet potatoes are cut with the skins on and seasoned with a generous helping of Rosemary and Sea Salt for the ultimate combination of all-natural crunch and flavor. They are perfect for air frying and a must-have freezer staple. -
Imposter Jalapeno Bites
I have also loved jalapeno bites since I was a child so to have a tasty vegan version is awesome and taste just like the non-vegan version. I also keep these in my freezer at all times. Low in calories and carbs, these bites are a perfect snack or treat for when you have guests over. They are hard to find, so make sure to request them at your local stores.
