In between a standard point and shoot and a more advanced SLR , the Panasonic Lumix Fz35 is a little piece of camera heaven!  I was gifted with one and I am hooked on all this baby can do!  Extremely lightweight and easy to use, with 12.1 megapixels, HD movie mode, and crystal clear picture quality; this is the TGATP camera of choice!  The camera also packs a Leica DC Vario-Elmarit Lens that houses a 27mm wide angle, 4x Digital zoom, and an astonishing feature for a point and shoot, an 18x zoom that you can even use while shooting HD movies!  And there are also a staggering amount of modes that I am still learning!  With 15 shooting modes including Intelligent Auto, Aperture Priority, Sports, and Manual for the more advanced photog, 20 scene modes from Candle Light and Fireworks to Beach and Aerial, 4 Color modes including Black and White and Sepia, and 22 Movie Scene Modes, there is a mode for anything you could possibly want to shoot!  In addtion, there is intelligent exposure, as well as, a built in dolby digital stereo mic!  I have been playing around with the self timer, which gives you 10 seconds to pose for 3 pictures.  The LCD monitor is 2.7″ and you can switch back and forth to the internal viewfinder.  Best of all, you get all of these awesome features for an amazingly affordable $310 in the NY area!  This is the best camera on the market for this price!  I love love love it and I highly recommend it!  This is a camera you can grow with as your photographic skills advance and your creativity is spurred!
