TGATP gets a SPANXing!

At 20, while studying in Italy, the Mom in my sponsor family literally refused to believe that we, American women, ever don anything but the finest lace underwear! While I am not that inflexible, there is simply nothing worse than donning matronly undergarments, particularly on a date! It is in fact a TGATP don’t! Who can forget that memorable scene in “Bridget Jones’ Diary”, when Renee Zellweger as “Bridget” is finally ready to throw down with her ultimate crush Hugh Grant‘s “Daniel Cleaver” and she is in those fat girl panties! Fortunately, he was charmingly delightful about it (love the Euro Man!). But it is defintely not something any gal wants to recreate! But unlike most shapewear, which screams “girdle”, this line delivers a sexy visual! Thus, I am in positive love with everything in this collection.

I am a newly curvy gal having gained a full 35 pounds when I quit smoking! So while I am releasing the excess weight, I thank God for Spanx! I was first given a couple pairs of their biker panties at Fashion Week 2008 and received a couple of Spanx Simplicity tanks to try out this past week. If I could afford it, I, like Oprah, would throw out all my other panties and wear them every day! I do recommend that you buy them a size larger than you need as they can be far too restricting if you buy your actual size! While I like to hold it in, I do want to be able to breath and not rupture anything inside! A trainer I know also recommended, that anyone who is dropping pounds should wear Spanx, or other shapewear daily as combined with a proper stretch mark cream, it can aid in stretch mark prevention.
