TGATP has been a fan of Jamie McLean‘s since first seeing him perform at the Esquire House in the fall of 2009. I call his songs “music for kegels” as he is so red hot lyrically (he’s pretty cute too)! Last night, I had the usual great time hanging with Jamie, Brian, and Ben (otherwise known as the Jamie McLean Band) and their assorted friends, family, and fans before they embark on their upcoming summer dates. Jamie and the boys will be playing five dates with the legendary Gregg Allman. They are also appearing at the 2010 Mountain Jam weekend with a host of other great musos, including Michael Franti and Spearhead. Check out their site for upcoming dates: www.jamiemclean.com/
This weekend, two new movies opened that TGATP thoroughly enjoyed! Starring Jason Stratham, Safe is an action-packed, thrill-ride with snappy dialogue. And The Raven is a great period piece for John Cusack and Edgar Allan Poe fans!
I love Mont Tremblant and am so happy to have found such a wonderful new getaway with a Euro feel so close to New York. It’s perfect for every type of getaway. Take your girlfriends for a gals only weekend, take your family for a family ski trip, and take your man for a romantic getaway – whatever you do, just go!
TGATP espouses on the Anna Gristina case, Greg Smith’s heroic resignation from Goldman Sachs, Snooki”s pregnancy, Rush Limbaugh’s idiocy, Andrew Breibart’s death, and prayers for Bobbi Kristina.
