With all the parties, hectic shopping trips, long waits at the Post Office, and general stress of navigating the holiday season, there is no better retreat than the Hot Chocolate Pedicure at the Maria Bonita Salon & Spa (12 Prince Street)! I recently sampled this treatment and it is a lil’ piece of heaven! The Hot Chocolate Pedicure consists of 5 steps:
The Soak: combines cocoa almond oils and dead sea salts to create a warm and soothing foot soak
The Scrub: made with chocolate and almond to exfoliate dead skin cells and heal tired sore and rough feet
The Massage and Recovery: an almond oil vitamin E and chocolate cream combination is used tio stimulate leg circulation and completely relax your feet.
The Wax: feet are dipped in warm wax and placed in socks to soften the skin.
The Polish: after all of this amazingly relaxing treatment, the toes are polished with your chosen color!
On top of all that, you are offered a heaping mug of old fashioned Hot Chocolate or an Irish Coffee topped with fresh whipped cream to sip on while you sink into a blissful state.
This sweet treat lasts for a heavenly 45 minutes and costs just $39 + tip!
Nestled amongst the stylish boutiques and restaurants in Manhattan’s Nolita, the Maria Bonita Salon & Spa marries cutting edge technology with traditional Brazilian beauty treatments. And with affordable prices, this is my new go to spot for pedicures and other spa services!
