I have always had a great belief in the spiritual power of aromatherapy and utilize numerous aromatic sprays, roll-ons, and mists to alleviate stress and lift my mood.
Aura Cacia is top of my list for essential oils and other aromatherapy products. So I was delighted to attend an event last week that was one of the best beauty evenings of the year to date. Held at the elegant Bouley Botanical, guests were invited to make our own scrubs and gels to illustrate the use of the brand’s products to create affordable, natural home beauty products. The recipes are wondrous foyour own beauty regimen and also make lovely, one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and family.
Here are some recipes for you to try at home.
Tips:
1. Each recipe makes one 4 0z. jar so multipy the ingredients for large batches.
2. Simply mix all the listed ingredients together. I have a special bowl just for making beauty products since the oils and aromas are hard to wash out.
3. There are dozens of great scented oils and oil blends so you can substitute them as you like. For example, I love the Chill Pill and other blends as body scrub options.
3. Do not use clear containers. Store your creations in amber jars and bottles, which preserve the purity of the essential oils.
4. The Aura Cacia jars come with labels or you can purchase jars and use these lovely Martha Stewart labels if you are making gifts.
