Congratulations Super Bowl XLIV Champion New Orleans Saints!

So happy for the Saints in their first ever Super Bowl win!  Was invited by NYC It Girl (which is one of the names I had people vote on for before choosing TGATP) to a party in the City and for some reason my gut was just go to my annual Superbowl party at my local Williamburg’s hang, Clems. My boy Breeze does the best chili you will ever have and I usually do my jalapeno cornbread to go with it.  Clem, the owner, brings in a ginormous flat screen and the whole neighborhood starts hangin’ a coupla hours before.  Once the game starts, there are regular funk breaks with music from James Brown and assorted other funkymasters.  It’s just a yearly good time.

Anyway, this chick sold her party as something really special, so I decided to wave the usual Clems hang.  I dragged two six packs through the freezing cold to her supposed party only to get there and have some idiot denying everyone entry!  There were tons of us, gals, in the doorway looking mad hot and this dumbass old geezer was telling everyone that the place was full even though everyone could see it wasn’t!  I was absolutely furious as I am a sporting gal and I was now missing the game due to this nonsense.  Plus, I was standing there with the two six-packs ’cause she painted it as a house party!  I mean, really!  How wack is that and how stupid was it for this chick to drag everyone to a party and then not insist that we be allowed in?!  So I angrily trudged back home and the idiot girl had the nerve to text me, like an hour and a half later, talking about “come back” as they were finally letting people in!  Ruining someone’s Super Bowl Sunday is like ruining a person’s Christmas!  Definitely never trusting this flaky gal again and really have to start trusting my gut!  NYC It Girl was definitely not ‘it” for any of the folks whose Super Bowl she ruined.  Thank God, I didn’t have to miss the whole game!

Rushed home and fortunately, I made it back home to Billysburg and a front row stole at Clems, just in time for the second glorious half, which was some really amazing football!  The Tracy Porter interception in the fourth quarter will definitely be one of the best plays in Super Bowl history and it totally clinched the the whole game for the Saints!  What a truly awesome game!
