The beloved late Horst Rechelbacher, who was the Founder of Aveda and Intelligent Nutrients and the number one advocate for healthy chemical-free makeup, hipped me to the dangers of using lipstick that contains tons of chemicals and carcinogenic additives. Until I met him, I did not really think about the fact that we ingest the lipsticks we use. Now I try to use mostly vegan and organic lipsticks. But I will admit that, as a beauty writer, I don’t always succeed. However, dear TGATP readers, that doesn’t mean you can’t. Throw out all those old unhealthy brands and replace them with these truly amazing vegan and organic makeup brands with beautiful lip colors. In honor of National Lipstick Day, here are my favorites:
