Belvedere Black Raspberry Launch

R&B Sensation and Fun Gal, Estelle
Belvedere held a three-day spate of parties to celebrate the launch of Belvedere Black Raspberry and spokesmodel R&B singer, Estelle. While Wednesday and Thursday sound like they were nice little affairs, I was glad that I waited till Friday, as they seemed to have saved the best for last!
Belvedere prides itself on using only the very best fruits in its flavored vodka. The process of macerating the fruit in vodka for at least a month eliminates the bitterness that occurs with cheaper flavored vodkas. While I am not a big vodka drinker, I sampled very weak versions of the featured drinks and they were amazingly tasty and smooth. Belvedere is now my vodka of choice.
The crowd was an interesting cross section of Black society from supermodels and politicians to trendsetters and entertainers. My current favorite DJ, ?uestlove of the Roots (sorry, DJ Cassidy!) and his MC raised the roof and once again got the whole place – guests and staff – dancing for hours! I had to (temporarily of course!) abdicate my title of “Queen of the Night” to the amazing Estelle! She is always a joy to see and always remembers everyone she has met along the way. On this night, she was her usual bubbly and wonderful self, partying like the Rockstar she is, and mingling so easily with the crowd she made us feel as if we were at her house for a party! Chatted with supermodel Liya and also got to meet the lovely and esteemed Faye Wattleton. Gift bags were a cute trifecta of small bottles of Belvedere Citrus, Orange, and the new Raspberry in a nifty bag designed by Jonathan Kelsey. This event was definitely good to the last drop!
