My New Favorite Tablet!

I never thought I would give up my love for Amazon Kindle Fires and have always been loyal to the Amazon tablet from their inception.  Even the Apple iPad Mini didn’t sway me away from them.  But a series of occurences this summer with #Amazon, combined with the gift of a spanking new #Acer #IconiaTab8 changed me forever.

This is the on-the-go tablet to have and I now can’t live without mine. It has everything you could want in a tablet (no, #Microsoft, I don’t want my tablet to be a laptop!)  It’s lighter than the comparable iPad Mini with the clearest screen I have seen on any tablet, which also offers IPS technology to provide a wider viewing angle of up to 178 degrees, ensuring images are bright and colors are consistent from every angle. The display features a 4:3 aspect ratio for a better web browsing experience.  In addition, the screen has an anti-fingerprint coating to keep the screen cleaner longer.  The two speakers offer amazing sound and I pair this with my #Kicker headphones to zone completely out with #Spotify on the busy NY subways.

One of my favorite features is the size and weight of the Iconia Tab 8.  At just 13.4 ounces, it’s featherweight which is vital for busy gals, like me, who carry a ton of stuff for work.  The Tab 8 is also both fast and smooth since it runs on Android Kit Kat based with Intel Atom processing.  Since I take hundreds of pics and videos, I also love that I can significantly expand the memory by placing a MicroSD in it.  And since everything’s on a MicroSD, you can even trade the card with family and friends.

Speaking of the dual cameras, the Tab 8 takes pictures that are better than my SLR, which I now sometimes leave at home. The battery life of 7.5 hours means I only have to charge it about once a week since it is also fitted with Acer’s Touch Wake App, that puts the tablet to sleep automatically if I am not using it.  Sync your Iconia Tab 8 with your Android phone and your laptop for a portable work and play solution.  This is a perfect device at a crazy price of only $159 – you simply can’t afford to pass this one up and it’s the ideal gift for everyone on your birthday and holiday list.
