Thursday Night Trilogy of Great Parties!

Bounced through three wonderful fetes last night!  First, a stop through the Swarovski Crystallized Store (499 Broadway) for their Holiday Review party.  Next to diamonds, crystals are a gal’s best friend and the shop offers a lot of fun options for the holidays.  I have gifted a number of my family members with the charm bracelets as I like the idea of having an item that can be built upon through years of Christmases, birthdays, and other holidays.

After Swarovski, it was around the corner to the Limited Pop-Up Store (134 Spring St.) for a party celebrating Nicole Williams’ new book, “Girl On Top.” It is always a pleasure to hang with the Limited folks (I have been to all 3 of the fetes there) and I do hope that they make the Soho Pop-Up a permanent fixture.

Thirdly, we partied with the folks from Men’s Health at Lafco, a fun Italian luxury and fragrance shop on Layfayette right next to the Puck Building.  This shop, which I thought was new, has actually been in operation for 7 years, and makes a wonderful place to shop for “essences, pomades, spirits, balms, waters, liqueurs, and other preparations.” The elixirs, prepared in the Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, which was founded by Dominican Friars in 1221, shortly after their arrival in Florence, Italy.  Hopefully, the scaffolding will be removed from outside soon as people are missing this gem of a shop.  The catering from Cafe Falai (265 Layfayette St.) knocked me out as it was the best soppresata and bread I have had since I was last in Italy, twelve years ago!  I am running there today for lunch as I am already craving their food again!
